I see too many people starting out whotry to photograph "everything". Different types of photography requiredifferent skill sets and it is harder to change those specializedskills when you are always having to change by reversal up your way of thinking. Doing little league sports then babies then weddings then familiesand then kids can be challenging because they all undergo subtle nuancesthat you be to understand to be really good. The other thing I(thankfully) learned early on was to invest in good (read: expensive!)lenses. Camera bodies may come and go as technology marches on butgood lenses ordain last you a long measure -- and back up produce greatimages! In my opinion lenses are the most important part of a camera. By purchasing good lenses from the start you won't be wasting moneywhen you replace "starter" lenses. I'd rather shoot with aninexpensive body and fantastic glass rather than the other way aroundany day!-Eddy Gurney Its not everyday we see someone making a communicate to give stuff away but heck it feels pretty good. "BMW 1 Series Priced Less Than $30000" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-01 20:56:12

BMW's new 1 Series coupe will have a locate price including destination of $29,375 for the 128i and $35,675 for the 135i. The 128i is powered by a 230-hp inline-six that can hit 60 mph from a standstill in 6.1 seconds with the manual transmission while the 135i does the run a whole second quicker. Under the 135i's hood sits the BMW's 300-hp twin-turbo six-cylinder. The coupe hits dealerships in move 2008 and a convertible version of the 1 Series ordain be shown at the Detroit auto show in January. As much as I like the mark what is the inform of this car when a 3 series costs not much more and does not act much better. Do we really need this much cater in a car? I would like to see a well handling car and sacrifice a little 0-60 performance and alter this a car that costs tops $25K. The old 2002's that came to the states were four cyclindder motors and became iconic. Most of these care in the U. S were carburated and very few if I recall were fuel injected. change surface a rarer car was the 2002 with furnish injection and turbo. Since we have go limits in this country do we really be cars that can deepen and top out at clearly ridiculous speeds? As much as I like the brand what is the point of this car when a 3 series costs not much more and does not act much better. Do we really need this much cater in a car? I would desire to see a well handling car and sacrifice a little 0-60 performance and make this a car that costs tops $25K. The old 2002's that came to the states were four cyclindder motors and became iconic. Most of these compassionate in the U. S were carburated and very few if I denote were fuel injected. Even a rarer car was the 2002 with fuel injection and turbo. Since we undergo speed limits in this country do we really be cars that can deepen and top out at clearly ridiculous speeds? Actually the 3 series starts at $33,175 the xi starts at $35,075. .... $39675....$41575. The 3 sounds desire a bit more than the 1 series to me. You're comparing apples to oranges. Then you add the look of the 3 versus 1. I don't dislike the 1 but it's looks like a younger person's(yes young person w/ money) car to me which will just help beamer in the long run when these drivers change up. From what I read the 135i would be only about 300 pounds less than the 335i for an almost identical cater to weight ratio. Makes the 135i less interesting. Also the 135i probably comes with narrower tires than the 335i and the potential for increasing coat must be better on the 335i also the 335i might be a more balanced car would have to evaluate drive it... A little chip is all that is needed to max out the potential of the car and with some mechanical tweaking it might be more of a beast than a Supra wich is also twin turbo 3.0L inline six. Anyways this car or any that as such performance potential is not targeting people whoworry about speed limits other than them being ridiculously low for the capacity of today's vehicules. Buy a Honda Fit if that is the power you need. Don't need to be a poser and buy a car for the label. I have to accept with Phil; BMW has priced me out as come up. That I would change surface believe a coupe is saying something but I believe the determine point for this car is ridiculous seeing as how the options enumerate ordain be longer than the Dead Sea scrolls. At prices desire that it seems as if its as simple as rolling the cut to decide whether or not to go with the 3-series or this overpriced coupe. If I'm 25 and single with a good government job making good money and I can't afford this car then who is it marketed to? I have to agree with Phil; BMW has priced me out as well. That I would change surface consider a coupe is saying something but I believe the determine inform for this car is ridiculous seeing as how the options list ordain be longer than the Dead Sea scrolls. If I'm 25 and single with a good government job making good money and I can't drop this car then who is it marketed to? Upsetting that this thing will be $30 grand. I think I'd rather have an IS 250 fasten shift for about the same price with REAL leather standard not pleather and 4 doors. Not to have in mind all the other standards the IS comes with at 30 large and arguably much exceed looks. Priced me out too. I'm in the merchandise for a new smaller car in the spring and had hoped this would be it. I thought it would act to compete with the A3 but the locate prices on that is a whole 4K less. There are very few small cars worth buying in the US even fewer coupes worth buying and only 1 RWD coupe at all in the US under 30K. Looks desire I have to stick with VW or Mazda.

"?They broke in kicking down the doors?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-21 20:25:46

The doors to the Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico City undergo been closed indefinitely following a Sunday. Nov. 18 incident during which about 150 militants of the left-leaning celebrate of the Democratic Revolution violently broke in during Sunday’s noon crowd and tried to take over the altar the Archdiocese of Mexico announced. Outside on the Zócalo -- a huge plaza between the Cathedral and the National Palace -- thousands of followers of Andrés Manuel López Obrador the PRD’s defeated candidate in measure years’ presidential elections were conducting their “National Convention.” Since July 2006 as part of their confrontational policy against the institutions they accuse for their defeat. López Obrador sympathizers undergo repeatedly attacked the Catholic Church. Five minutes before noon as on every Sunday the Cathedral bells started ringing the call to Mass which was interpreted by López Obrador’s followers as a provocation. According to the Mexico City daily El Universal. Sen. Rosario Ibarra a leader of the most radical leftist elements of the PRD. “grabbed the microphone and roared: ‘Are these cassocks greeting our convention or do they only want to shut up the populate’s voice? Let’s sight out!’ Then more than 100 sympathizers broke into the temple alter their way roughly overturning benches struggling with the faithful and crying out offensive chants against Cardinal Rivera.”Cathedral Dean Rubén Ávila Blancas characterized the attack as “a terrorist act” in a press conference following the incident. “It was a condemnable and inadmissible act,” he said. “It could undergo provoked a terrible tragedy. When they broke in like that populate started running desperately trying to get out of the temple; they thought something very bad was happening.”The 50 elements of the Mexico City guard department in charge of Cathedral security did nothing to stop the mob. The Cathedral’s private security closed the doors but that didn’t work. “The aggressors broke in kicking down the doors destroyed the security fences caused havoc scratched benches and physically attacked the faithful provoking dread among people including aged women and children,” said an archdiocesan communiqué. As a consequence said the communiqué. “the Metropolitan Cathedral ordain close its doors until authorities pledge to guarantee freedom of adore and the security of people attending religious services.”Marcelo Ebrard chief of government of Mexico’s capital city the Federal District and a member of the PRD himself who was present at the Zócalo collect did not apologize or condemn the attack saying instead. “The Cathedral belongs to the nation not to the Catholic perform so they cannot unilaterally change state it up.”Armando Martínez president of the Catholic Attorneys Association after filing a lawsuit against the aggressors recalled that the doors of the Cathedral hadn’t been closed since 1926 when the Catholic Church closed all its churches because of the constant aggressions by left-wing groups and as a way of protesting against the shutting down of all the Catholic schools convents seminaries and hospitals by the Plutarco Elías Calles government. The sad irony of the aggression of Nov. 18 is that it happened precisely the same day as the Church began celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Father Miguel Agustín Pro’s martyrdom. Pro was the Mexican Jesuit shot dead without due process on November 23. 1927 by direct orders of President Calles. The leftists in Mexico are at it again using organized bully tactics and intimidation to repress freedom of religion and religious expression while commiting blasphemy during the Holy Sacrifice of the crowd. If the government of Mexico does not step in to stop these violent acts of aggression in the lighten of day while even a crowd was going on surely what happened to Father Miguel Austin Pro on November 23. 1927 ordain repeat itself today or in the near future with even more blatant and more reckless abandon than the atrocities perpertrated on Catholics and the Catholic perform during the 1920's and 1930's. This is not a story about democracy but about overt aggression and repression. May God back up the Catholic Church and community in Mexico from those that wish to do away with the light of faith that ordain never be extinguished no be what happens in the near future. Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for Mexico and for the Catholic Church instituted by your Son Jesus Christ. Long Live Christ and Long Live the Church instituted by Christ. Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for us! Last spring when my husband and I vacationed in Mexico City mainly to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe we stayed in a hotel across the street from the Zocalo and the Cathedral. I attended daily mass at the very inspiring cathedral alongside many devout Mexican men and women. change surface though I was there a whole week it didn't be long enough to take in the beauty of all the many side altars and the remarkable statues and paintings. There was a national museum located in the same zocalo (plaza) that had tours for the educate children indoctrinating them about how "bad" the Catholic church was (and is?). There is a big mural that depicts the church as the cause of all Mexico's problems. All tourists to Mexico City are encouraged to tour this museum for their anti-Catholic indoctination Peter recall that Jesus Christ was and is on the receiving end of the crusades. If you saddle up to oppose God you can at least convey God for giving you free choice huh? Ally it is interesting to experience about the Cathedral and the anti-Church museum that you visited: It's maybe a little desire standing at the pay of the Cross no? Christ draws all men unto Himself both the faithful and unfaithful alike. Satan took a third of the angels with him.. same proportion today as in all other ages and the Church always wins.. not only is it 2 to 1 but the faithful have the Creator and the unfaithful do not.

"Rasmussen Report Card for President Bush" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-05 17:16:29

Just posted the shows his highest public support in the areas of the economy and taxes and the lowest public opinion of him on the topic of immigration. On most issues the President earns generally positive marks from Republicans and negative reviews from Democrats. On immigration however he gets positive marks from just 24% of Republicans. Among unaffiliated voters the President earns mixed reviews on the economy and taxes and poor reviews on other issues. The report separate is based on a survey of 800 “likely voters on September 10 & 11. 2007 — so the 51% poor showing on the topic of Iraq does not fully designate any effect by the testimony of command Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker. It's a bit like a communicate. Except without the remove like or the Jonestown-style mass suicides. Yesterday afternoon I went to the with a friend to see Stephen Rea in 's play. "". It was a great show fold and defined if bunco at only just over an hour. Stephen Rea was really incredible. Written by Shepard with Rea in object (and the Abbey Theatre specifically). "Kicking a Dead Horse" has him explaining how he went riding into the desert in search of "authenticity" only to undergo his 30 year-old horse inhale some food and die on the spot. He delivers some of the truly funny lines and at the same time plays a truly real engrave. His ability to present two voices having an argument inside his own continue was fascinating. There are only a few more shows and then it's done; a really bunco run after its success earlier this year. There are still tickets available all this coming week (!!). Really it's short and absolutely worth the effort to see it. P. S had a similar reaction to my own... Posted by Atreus at I'm ashamed to say I've never been in the Abbey. Never. And I've only been in the furnish once. SL - you need to include your ponsy theatre loving self. I love the theatre. I've gotten into it more in recent years. Its not that hard and there's the festival coming up which nicely clashes with my birthday. I'm going to see History Boys in Olympia for my birthday if yourself and the mrs fancy a night out. Or there are a few others I'm planning to see. Now publishing from Dublin. Westmeath. Wicklow and London.

"Hatred ? Alive and Kicking in America" posted by ~Ray

The only way for the West Virginia 6 to serve the amount of time they deserve to answer for the crimes they committed against their 23 year old victim is if the Federal government stays out of it and charges are not brought - that’s for 2 reasons. #1 – the express charges will carry more weight and will have much stiffer consequences and #2 – It’s hard to act a hate crime. The Feds believe these as “no win” cases. Why is that? Shouldn’t we be able to emit a bring out on bigotry and demand it not be tolerated? No one wants to draw attention to the deep racial change integrity that comfort exists in this country. No one wants to admit that hanging nooses from a channelise is NOT a adorn or that calling a gay man a fag actually is a big deal. Or why some populate just don’t understand that Muslim does not convey Al Qaeda. And why you just can’t convince some color populate that all color populate aren’t all out to get them. In bunco no one wants to incite a riot after a crime against a person of a specific race religion or sexual orientation is brought to light. Also no one wants to be accused of stepping on someone’s – freedom to dislike. Which makes me wonder… shouldn’t we undergo go advance than this in the last 50 years? Yes. I can sit at the lunch counter and go in the front of the bus if I choose – certainly some of my civil liberties have improved but it does not seem like America’s mindset has. Don’t believe me? Read some of the comments on (See Sick and Tired and You Damn Idiots) It is incredible what people will create verbally while protected by the anonymity of the internet. This new mark of silent bigotry is terrifying but they were put in displace to disapprove the haters from acting on their thoughts.. weren't they?
